ABOUT INSANE CLOWN POSSE

Rising to prominence in the late 90s, Insane Clown Posse offered something incredibly unique with their insane rap skills and clown get up. The group, formerly a quartet, revolutionized hip-hop with horror core - raining from horror themed rap to IT-style clown aesthetics. Think dark carnival with corpse paint and vibrant hair colors. The group found mainstream success with their third album, Riddle Box, which sold over 500,000 copies and charted within Billboard’s Heatseekers. In 1997, ICP released their major label debut The Great Milenko, which had them entering the Billboard 200 for the first time. The record later sold over one million copies, earning the group it’s first platinum certification. By 2012, ICP has charted triumphantly on Billboard Top Indendent chart with their eighth album, The Wraith: Shangrila after going back to self releasing their work with their imprint Psychophatic Records.
